From the initial estimate meeting until work was complete, the team at Protect Environmental was very personable & professional. They helped us determine the best location in our basement to suit our & their needs. They were always on time; the work was completed neatly and in less than the estimated time. After a 48 hour mail in test, I spoke with Protect Environmental. Rather than immediately scheduling the installation of a radon mitigation system, I was advised on how to get a more accurate long term test; i.e. short term profit isn't their principal concern. I still needed a mitigation system. My experience was good. Installing the system was fully explained to me, punctual and efficient. Rather than charging me to install additional equipment in the crawl space, they first tested the radon level above the crawl space in the den of our home. I did not need further radon mitigation. I appreciate a company that is honest and competent. I fully recommend Protect Environmental.

The team was very professional and did an amazing job. Prior to installation we saw radon levels as high as 7.5 pCi/L upstairs with our AirThings digital detector. The EPS recommends levels under 4 pCi/L.After installation, our levels dropped to 0.1 pCi/L. That's a 98.6% decrease! Plus the Protect Environmental team was able to place the pipe in an obscure spot as to not take away from our exterior appearance. Very pleased with the results!

From start to finish, I have never had a more excellent experience from a business. I bought my first home earlier this year and the home inspector ran a radon test at my discretion because I wanted to know for my sake and others living with me. It came back high when I was promised that it wouldn't (concrete slab foundation). I knew better than to believe that high radon was impossible so I researched the highest rated radon mitigation specialists. This is the first and only option. They have perfect ratings for a reason. They are busy and will still make time to come out, get a feel for the layout of the property, and give you a timely estimate. Believe it or not, I was quoted a higher price than I actually paid because they knew what system my home needed and changed the parts out, thus making it more efficient for the system and my wallet. 10/10, I would recommend to every single person that wants a system installed or even just a test for curiosity sake.

Wow, where do I start? We had 3 consultations with different companies and after our consultation with Protect Environmental, we knew they were the company for us. From my first phone call with Jeff Sims, he was very informative and explained the extra steps that they take to make sure you get the lowest radon level possible and answered any questions that I had. Doug came out for my consultation and was super respectful, professional, and very knowledgeable about radon and the system installation. Doug was excellent at listening to our concerns about the placement of the system, as we wanted it to “aesthetically” look nice, but not compromise the effectiveness of the system. The other consultations we had with other companies, it seemed as though they wanted to place the system where it was easiest for them and dismissed our concerns of the aesthetics and placement. Protect Environmental also uses a licensed electrician where other companies do not. Doug andSteven installed our system and did an incredible job. They were very professional, respectful, and very neat in the cleanup process as they treat your home with respect. Jeff has always been available to answer any questions and is so down to earth, it’s like talking to an old friend. You will not regret going with this company as they are in line, if not a little cheaper and you get superior service and a great team of people.

Backstory: I used Aqualock for Radon Mitigation. Big mistake! They did a sloppy job, plus, didn’t get my readings under acceptable levels. Instead of calling them back, I decided to get a second opionion on their work.In comes Protect Environmental. They not only identified the issues that Aqualock could not address and did not address, but they came up with a more thorough and comprehensive plan. If you have an older home, Protect approaches things differently. Our house was built in 1947. Not all homes are the same, and they know that.They price fairly, are very professional, extremely knowledgeable and they did an excellent job with the installation and the cleanup. The electricians They sent over we're equally professional, knowledgeable and competent. They did an excellent job as well. I highly recommend. So far, the system is working great! To advise anyone looking for radon remediation services. PROTECT ENVIORMENTAL is absolutely the most amazing service oriented company I’ve dealt with in my relocation to Louisville. Jeff and his folks are attentive and professional in all aspects of what they do. I have never had a reason for remediation to be done and had no idea what to expect. The two young men arrived and went about their business professional. They vented the drill for the concrete hole they needed and after a couple of hours, they were finished. I thought I’d have a little cleaning to do after the dust as settled. This wasn’t the case. The basement appeared cleaner than when they started. There wasn’t one sign of them having been there. Jeff was right about the equipment on the outside. At first I would notice it. But after a bit it would not be so obvious. The follow up was as described. They called and my convience they came back and set up testing equipment to see if the system worked. Well we went from a 6-7 to a .04 or so. It indeed did work.
