Director of Denver Operations · Radon & Vapor Intrusion Specialist · Colorado Environmental Expert
Kyle Davis is Director of Denver Operations at Protect Environmental, formerly Ace Radon and Reliant Radon Solutions, leading radon testing, mitigation, and vapor intrusion services across Colorado. NRPP-certified in measurement, mitigation, and radon-resistant new construction, Kyle brings field-up technical expertise and frequent media engagement on Colorado’s elevated radon risk to residential, commercial, and healthcare projects.
Kyle Davis serves as Director of Denver Operations for Protect Environmental, formerly Ace Radon and Reliant Radon Solutions, where he leads radon testing, mitigation, and vapor intrusion services throughout the Denver metro area and across Colorado. With deep field experience and operational leadership in environmental construction, Kyle specializes in reducing indoor air risk for residential, commercial, healthcare, multifamily, and industrial properties.
Kyle began as a field technician in the Ann Arbor region in 2015 with Protech Environmental, which was later acquired by Protect Environmental. Now based in the Denver region, Kyle oversees complex mitigation projects and works closely with property owners, developers, environmental consultants, school districts, and healthcare systems to design and install high-performance radon and vapor intrusion systems that meet regulatory standards and long-term performance goals.
Colorado is recognized as one of the highest-radon states in the country. As Kyle himself has noted in public statements, “Radon exposure is a serious health risk, especially in areas like the Rockies where as many as 60% of homes can have dangerously high radon levels.” That reality shapes how Kyle leads the Denver team, with an emphasis on methodical diagnosis, durable system design, and ongoing performance monitoring.
Colorado is recognized as a high-radon state, with an estimated 1 in 2 buildings having elevated radon levels, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. In mountain communities along the Rockies, that figure can climb to roughly 60% of homes.
Kyle’s radon experience includes:
Kyle understands the soil composition, foundation types, and building practices common throughout Denver, Littleton, Aurora, Boulder, and surrounding Front Range communities, enabling tailored system design rather than one-size-fits-all solutions.
In addition to radon, Kyle leads vapor intrusion mitigation projects where volatile contaminants migrate from soil or groundwater into indoor air. Vapor intrusion is a critical concern in Colorado’s redevelopment markets, where former industrial and brownfield sites are being converted to residential, healthcare, and commercial use.
His vapor intrusion expertise includes:
Kyle works with stakeholders navigating redevelopment, brownfield projects, and regulatory compliance, ensuring mitigation systems are designed for durability and measurable results.
Kyle holds multiple credentials through the National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP), the credentialing division of AARST and the recognized authority for radon professional certification in the United States. Active since August 24, 2022:
Kyle contributes regularly to educational outreach efforts on radon awareness, vapor intrusion risk, and indoor air safety. He collaborates with real estate professionals, environmental consultants, and public health advocates to improve awareness of environmental exposure risks across Colorado.
Recent media and industry engagement includes:
Kyle’s media presence reflects a broader commitment to public education and community health, supported by Protect Environmental’s national partnership with the American Lung Association.
Leads radon and vapor intrusion mitigation across the Denver metro region and the broader Colorado Front Range, including the recent service expansion to Buena Vista and surrounding mountain communities. Oversees complex residential, commercial, healthcare, multifamily, and industrial mitigation projects.
Earned NRPP Certified Radon Measurement Professional (#113224-RMP) and Certified Radon Mitigation Specialist (#113335-RMS) credentials on August 24, 2022, plus Radon-Resistant New Construction (RRNC) certification.
Began career as a field technician with Protech Environmental in the Ann Arbor region in 2015. Built hands-on expertise in mitigation system installation, fan selection, sub-slab depressurization, and post-installation verification across Southeast Michigan before relocating to Denver and advancing into operational leadership.
Kyle and the Protect Environmental Denver team serve the Denver metro area and broader Colorado Front Range, including Denver, Littleton, Aurora, Lakewood, Boulder, Colorado Springs, and surrounding communities. The team also recently expanded into Buena Vista and the surrounding Rocky Mountain region, where elevated radon levels are common.

Yes. Much of Colorado is classified by the EPA as having high radon potential, with an estimated 1 in 2 buildings statewide carrying elevated levels. In the Rockies and Front Range, that figure climbs to roughly 60% of homes. Testing is the only way to determine radon levels in a specific property.
A radon mitigation system reduces indoor radon levels by safely venting soil gases above the roofline through active soil depressurization. The system creates negative pressure beneath the foundation, drawing radon out of the soil and exhausting it outside before it can enter the building. Most systems are installed in one day.
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas, while vapor intrusion involves the migration of chemical vapors from contaminated soil or groundwater into buildings. Both follow similar pathways into structures, but vapor intrusion mitigation systems are designed to address volatile organic compounds (VOCs) rather than radioactive gases. Kyle’s team handles both, often on redevelopment sites where the two concerns overlap.
National leader in radon mitigation, vapor intrusion, and indoor air quality. The Denver team operates from Littleton, serving Colorado’s Front Range and Rocky Mountain communities. Formerly Ace Radon and Reliant Radon Solutions.
