Tom Krone is the General Manager for Protect Environmental’s Chicago team, leading radon mitigation projects across the greater Chicagoland region. Originally part of Elliott & Associates, the first Illinois radon company founded in 1986, Tom specializes in technically sound, aesthetically mindful systems for historic homes, multifamily properties, and single-family residences across Chicago’s distinctive housing stock.
Tom Krone serves as General Manager for the Chicago team at Protect Environmental, where he leads radon mitigation projects throughout the Chicagoland region. Originally part of Elliott & Associates, the first company in Illinois to perform radon measurement and mitigation, Tom joined Protect Environmental in 2022 following the company’s acquisition. Founded in 1986, Elliott & Associates installed more than 20,000 radon and chemical vapor mitigation systems before joining Protect Environmental, building a 36-year Chicagoland legacy of trust and craftsmanship that Tom continues to lead today.
