We had Protect Environmental come out to mitigate our radon in our basement. Install was quick and the site was clean that day.Over time we noticed the system was getting louder and louder. At first we put up with it, but eventually it was so loud we couldn’t sleep at night. With one call to Protect Environmental they sent a guy out who immediately told us that the fan was too loud and that it was all covered under warranty. He quickly replaced the fan at no cost.Ever since then the fan has been quiet and we are happy knowing that our radon issues have been taken care of. It has been a few months and everything is working well and quietly. We sleep right next to the fan and you can’t even hear it.

Bought my own electronic radon detector. After finding levels requiring mitigation, I called a few companies. Protect Environmental was available within two weeks, they came onsite and analyzed my house, determined the best location for the system, and three hours later were finished. My Radon levels dropped to less that 1pCi/L (previously 10pCi/L). The system looks as good as it can (knowing how it works). They guarantee the system and its effectiveness for life. (Fan has a 5 year warranty)

I got bids from several companies for a system as our levels were in the upper 30s. Radovent had extremely competitive pricing and for the same price as other companies outside units they were able to run it through my attic so I didnt have the pipe outside. The install was fast and everything was smooth. After a couple of months winter showed up and my levels spiked up into the upper 7s and I gave them a call and they scheduled me right away for a warranty visit to upgrade the fan.I was shocked that they honor their warranty so well. I was expecting to have issues with the warranty but Radovent was amazing. They upgraded the fan and the levels dropped, but were still in the upper 3s and they got me scheduled again with no hassle to fix things up. Radovent is BY FAR the best company out there. I will only recommend them to neighbors. If you are looking for a radon mitigation company just go with radovent, you will be glad you did

RadoVent did a great job mitigating our home of radon. We went from a measurement of 7.2 to below 0.5 in 30 hours. Larry and Dominic were great and very hard workers. The bid was fair and they were easy to work with. Thank you for making our home a safe place to live. Much appreciation to you!

RadoVent got us in for a mitigation a couple weeks before competing companies could after we discovered dangerously high radon levels in our basement. Larry was knowledgeable and efficient, and his work speaks for itself: Levels went from 11.2pCi/L to 0.6-1.0pCi/L in 72 hours. We did tests in three separate rooms to be sure that the installation had worked properly. Highly recommend this company!

RadoVent succeeded where others could not!I had hired another local company to mitigate high radon levels in my 1912 house in Salt Lake City. The other company drilled holes in my basement concrete and cut a hole in my exterior brick only to tell me the couldn’t do the job.In came RadoVent to the rescue. Despite being a very difficult job, the people at RadoVent successfully installed a mitigation system which has done a great job at reducing our radon levels at home.Save yourself the headache and just call RadoVent first!

PART 1Radovent did a mitigation job in my home earlier this month on Friday 7/2.The good:• On time, I received both a text and email reminders before the visit.• The tech who worked on the crawlspace, spent hours placing the vapor barrier and from what I can tell visually, covered everything and secured the barrier to the perimeter. Didn't appear to cut corners.• They stayed until after 6:30 pm finishing the job, though there is some concern that in trying to hurry and finish late on a Friday, maybe some things were missed, not completed properly?Questions/concerns:• The technician who was doing the work outside of the crawlspace had been with the company less than three months. Expecting the other crew member to be more experienced, I was surprised to learn, that he had only been doing this for a few months longer. Was surprised to have such an inexperienced crew as RadoVent advertises themselves as a step above the competition in the design of their mitigation systems, materials used, and presumably, experienced technicians doing the installations.• Really wasn't any communication during the installation process, except when I asked questions. And maybe that's normal as the technicians are there to do the install and not explain anything.• The fan is installed in the open attic portion of the garage and if you look at the discharge piping relative to the hole in the roof, it's slightly crooked/not straight and aligned. It was just something that I noticed that made me wonder about experience/workmanship and gives me concerns about what other issues might there be that I can't see.• Speaking of the roof, that part of the job was apparently finished and the technician then moved onto working downstairs on the suction point in the slab. When the total installation was complete and the techs were cleaning up, the technician who did the work in the garage and roof, asked if I had any questions. I pointed out that when looking up at the exhaust in the roof, that I could see bright sunlight reflecting on the white exhaust pipe, like somehow there was direct light hitting it that was visible from inside the garage. He then remembered that he hadn't sealed around the pipe boot/cover thing and the exhaust pipe and what I was seeing was that gap. It sounded like maybe the opening for the exhaust pipe was bigger than necessary and he mentioned he forgot to seal it. Said he would go back up with some silicone and seal it up before leaving. He then got back up on the roof and did something as the bright visible light that I could see previously disappeared. The next day, a day after the installation, I notice a 2/3 empty tube of DAP asphalt sealant on my deck (See Photo). Apparently it had been left on the roof and then at some point had rolled off where I saw it on my deck. Again, forgetting to seal things up or not completing the job when you were up on the roof doing it, causes me to wonder about experience/skill/workmanship in doing the task at hand and makes me wonder what else may not have been completed properly, but just isn't visible that I would notice. I did climb up on the roof later to look at the exhaust location and to my untrained eye, it appears that things have been sealed up. Hopefully it's leakfree and stays that way long-term.• No one ever showed me the contract/bid, went over the plans or discussed payment options. At the end of the day as the crew was leaving I asked about payment and they just mentioned to call the office on Monday. I had discussed this a bit with Shantay? before the installation and indicated I was planning to pay by credit card and she indicated I would likely get an email with a link to make payment on Monday• In fairness, Tim was onsite before starting the work and we discussed the option of putting the suction point under the stairs which other competing bidders had indicated would be an option. Tim said we could try it if I really wanted, but it sounded like he wasn't comfortable with potential issues due to unseen footings.See PART 2

TLDR; I've dealt with 3 radon companies total, and there is a very clear difference between how the others work vs how RadoVent works. Don't waste your time with other companies, just call RadoVent.I contacted another radon company to do a radon test for a home I was purchasing. The test unfortunately came back very high. They included a mitigation proposal with the test. They were very hands off, and didn't even look at the home to give me a bid. I did not feel comfortable with a company taking a stab at something assuming it was a cookie cutter fix. I then reached out to RadoVent and met them at the home to get a bid from them. I was not the homeowner yet, but I was very concerned about HOW the mitigation system would look on our new home, and not just about price. I met Travis from RadoVent at the home and he spent probably a full hour walking around the property with me and the homeowner talking about different options available. Travis impressed me with his knowledge, background, and thoroughness. Both companies mentioned that we will potentially need two systems due to the size and layout of the home. With the real estate transaction, long story short, they used a third company to install a system. After we moved in, we purchased multiple radon continuous monitors that allow us to watch the radon levels in real time throughout the day. We were surprised to see that the levels had not even changed! We went back and forth with this third company about high levels. They came out and did a test with their units, it happened to be during a 48 hour period of time where the levels were lower than usual and it came back just under the 2.7 limit required by the EPA. They basically told me that everything looked great and we are good to go. Well, my levels were frequently in the 6, 7,8 range, even spiking up to 25 at one point. I went back and forth many times with this company and made very little progress with them. I felt like I was having to argue and fight them to do anything about the system not even making a dent in the radon levels. Unfortunately this company is also VERY new, and only been doing business for about a year now. At this point, I got back in touch with RadoVent. Travis came out a second time to give us a bid. Within a few minutes he noticed some potential issues with their system. He spent probably another full hour looking through options with me, answering my questions, giving me his opinion on things etc. He suggested instead of paying them to do work, that we should go back to the other company and have them do these few fixes under warranty. It was evident that RadoVent is more interested in making sure people are taken care of than getting their money. I followed his advice and asked the third company to come make the suggested fixes. As we sort of feared, these changes were not quite enough to do the trick. We were not at all comfortable with this third companies extremely invasive ideas for solving the problem. At that point, we decided it was time to connect with RadoVent again. Travis came out a THIRD time to give me another consultation. Again spending probably an hour talking with me about everything.  They came a week later to install the system. They were extremely professional, quick and involved me in all of the little details of the install. They installed a system that is extremely well hidden and much quieter than the first system we had installed. It was so frustrating and stressful having to deal with radon. We had to keep the kids out of the basement for months while we messed around with this other company trying to get the issue solved. I will never go anywhere else for radon mitigation in the future. RadoVent has a ton of experience. Hands down, go with someone with experience! You can't afford for another company to experiment with things and hope they work. We are 3 weeks post mitigation now, and haven't had a single spike of unsafe levels in our home. Previously, we couldn't go more than 2 days without the levels rising to unsafe levels. Thanks so much RadoVent!

We have worked with RadoVent twice (once for the original install, and second for an upgrade to a PVC pipe for the stack). Both times they were communicative, quick to get us on the schedule, and efficient in their work. I felt like we were given options and not coerced into unnecessary upgrades. Anyone I have referred to RadoVent for mitigation systems has been satisfied with their work. I would highly recommend these guys any day of the week!

I know how important radon mitigation is. Six years ago I had another company install a system in my crawl space. What a nightmare! After the install I saw no change in the radon levels. It took two more attempts and too many phone calls before the system worked. A few weeks ago I had a problem while out walking and stopped to ask a favor from a RadonVent technician I saw parked on the street. He was friendly and helpful so I decided to ask him about my system to see if there was a way to dampen the sound. He gave me some good advice and the phone number of the office. I called and Kyle told me I could get a muffler and gave me pricing and scheduled a time for me right then. Kyle was also very personable, knowledgable and helpful. Travis came out and said before I spent the money on the muffler he would just set it in place and make sure it made a difference. I was so appreciative of his sensitivity to not waste my money. The muffler made a huge difference! And Travis painted it to match the pipe AND immediately saw the flashing had been installed incorrectly and fixed that at no charge. I don't usually write reviews but after my first horrible experience I wanted to share how great it was to work with a professional company that takes pride in doing the job right.

RadoVent did an excellent job installing a radon mitigation system in our home. They were recommended to us by someone else with a lot of experience in residential real estate. The people at this company know what they are doing and provide the highest-quality service. I recommend this company without hesitation. Throughout the entire process they were professional. Their proposed plans were very well thought out. The people who installed the system were experienced and friendly. During the install, an unforeseeable complication arose, and they were able to resolve it right away. After the work was complete, I had a question and they were very responsive. I wish every company was as well-run as RadoVent.

RadoVent was my third phone call, but they should have been my first. They were professional from beginning to end. They do their best to keep the system internal so you won't have pipe on the exterior of your home, which was really important to me. The installer, Adam, was respectful of our home, wore booties, and kept his work areas so clean we couldn't even tell he'd been there. He also explained the new system well. Radovent installed an effective radon mitigation system that looks so good!

No one wants to find out they have radon in their home. But once you know it is there and you need to mitigate you want the best you can find to do the work.Unfortunately my first choice was not good. They examined my home and could not figure out how to mitigate the radon. They finally suggested I put in a air exchange system that would cost several thousand dollars. Then they left it up to me to get that done. System was installed and did not produce the desired results.Fortunately RadoVent came to my house and provide a great solution. With their knowledge and workmanship they installed the system and got me to around 3 from a very high number.Would I recommend RadoVent absolutely!!Don't do what I did call RadoVent first and they will take care of your radon problem fast.

The technician, Adam, was very professional, courteous, and considerate of my time and property. He laid down tarps and such in all work areas and walkways to protect the carpets/flooring. He then cleaned up everything when he was done. The finished install is very neat, clean, and professional looking. They took the time to find the best installation option for my home, so that the finished product was not ugly or obtrusive, in fact it was almost unnoticeable! As a former contractor in home repairs, I am very impressed with their service and level of professionalism. Radovent really impressed us. The tech who did the walk-through was knowledgeable and forthright, and the team who installed the system was punctual, communicative, professional, courteous, exact, and took time to explain things and double-check what we wanted. They worked quickly and neatly, and cleaned up everything spotless before they left. The actual work itself was super-high quality: no gaps, nothing cobbled together, no jury-rigging. I would absolutely recommend Radovent above other radon mitigation installers; I'm so glad we chose them out of all the bids we got.

It’s pretty uncommon to come across a contractor who is knowledgeable, professional, prompt, courteous, conscientious, reasonably priced and who does good work. Travis is just such a guy and he and his company installed a mitigation system in my home, with utmost care. The installation was challenging because of the venting route that needed to be taken and because the path was almost entirely finished space, much of it involving tongue-in-groove wood finishes. Travis and his assistant were extremely careful in their work and the finished product is not only effective, but also very clean and minimally obtrusive. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of the whole thing was that Travis called me the evening after the install to say that he wanted to come back to the house (an hour drive each way) to recheck a fitting that he didn’t clearly remember doing a final check on. He ended up coming back at 7:00 on a Friday night to confirm that all was well, which it was. I gotta think that not many guys would be that conscientious and thorough. I wish all contractors were like Travis (and in my experience, most are the opposite)! If you need radon mitigation, I highly recommend Radovent. In case you are wondering because this review is so favorable, I did not know Travis or Radovent before engaging them for this work.

RadoVent has been extremely professional, prompt, and easy to work with in ensuring my radon levels in my house are properly mitigated to keep my family safe. They have honored their guarantee and warranty no questions asked even after not initially contacting them for a while after my system was installed! Their installers are top notch and listen to your concerns and work with you in installing a system that is the least intrusive possible. They have been a breath of fresh air to work with in dealing with a number of home contractors over the years. I HIGHLY recommend them!!! Thanks Travis and your wonderful team.

Adam was on time and answered all of our questions before he here started. He was clean and polite. He covered our stairs with protective plastic to not get them dirty. He did a lot of work in a short amount of time and sealed all of the floor cracks of concern. The installation looks professional and clean and radon levels have already dropped to a negligible level. I would recommend RadoVent.

Couldn't be happier! Our home measured at 11.2 pCi/L on the high end when we purchased it in January. We just retested after a few weeks of operation, and we're now at a 0.3 pCi/L level! HUGE improvement and each representative we worked with was extremely helpful and friendly.

After a bad experience with an HVAC company I am extra careful about who we hire to come into our home. I always double check licensing. These guys are the only company that is sending salesman who are quoting the job and technicians that are all fully licensed. The other companies I got a quote from have one person licensed and then everyone else is working under that license and the salesman are not qualified to be selling the products. I talked with a variety of companies and they all said positive things about Radovent. It's hard to beat when the competition has nothing bad to say about you. I had to be patient because their technician went out sick which delayed their schedules by a week or two, but it was worth it. The installer was very professional, clean cut, polite and most importantly made me feel at ease in my home. They took the time to match the paint on the house and paid attention to not only functionality but aesthetic. This is a solid company, I couldn't find anyone to beat their quality or price in the valley.Update - One year later we lost power to the system. Travis came out to our home in a blizzard to address the issue. He identified where the loss of power was coming from and rerouted electrical to get us up and running again. I really appreciated his efforts in good faith to go above and beyond to make sure our system keeps running and keeps our family healthy. One year later, I would still recommend this company for their quality customer service and professionalism.

I talked to two other companies about putting in a radon mitigation system. I felt like RadoVent was the most knowledgable and experienced. Plus, their price was better than the others. The installation went smoothly and the installer was very conscientious. I think they did a great job and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

We discovered a small amount of Radon remained in our home despite mitigation after i installed continuous monitoring sensors. A local area competitor installed the first system and it just wasn't up to the quality i would want for my family. I work in healthcare and understand the devastating effects that radon gas can cause if left unchecked. The competitors design and quality was lacking and they did not offer to check their system properly to ensure it was working correctly. The competitors put tubing directly in the middle of a closet and it didn't need to be done that way. We needed to have the job done right and contacted Rado-vent to fix the problems with quality and design. They were AMAZING. Alan at the office is responsive and knowledgeable. The owner Travis is a true mitigation expert. They have a team that is super knowledgeable and honest about what to expect. They came in, conducted air flow testing, sealed up any areas that could contribute to radon leakage and we had them redo our WHOLE system. We could not be happier. The design is unobtrusive, quiet and the most important part effective to keep the radon out no matter what time of year or situation. If you ever need Radon Mitigation go with Rado-vent. You don't want to bargain shop when it comes to your families health. Despite saying that; Rado-vent is also reasonable and they provide quotes before the project that they stand by. I will always recommend Rado-vent without hesitation and with the highest recommendations!

So thankful to have our family breathing safe air! Our basement tested above a 6 prior to mitigation, and is now under 1! Clean and safe! The entire process went smoothly from the first consultation visit to finish. The installation took about 4 hours by Adam, who was professional and nice (he pet my dog every time he walked in the house and answered all of my kids' annoying questions). Everything is done well, solid, and everything was left clean. Adam took the time to walk me through the system and show me everything. I am impressed with this company's customer service, follow-through, and timeliness. I have recommended them to neighbors and family. Thank you for making my home safe for my family!

This company is the epitome of how a company should be run. They were on time, explained everything they were going to do beforehand, told how long it would take to complete the work and asked if there were any questions. Adam, our service technician, was very professional and did an exceptional job in installing our system. He cleaned up when he was finished and told us what we should expect from our radon mitigation system. I would recommend that anyone who has high levels of radon in their home have it addressed and RadoVent is the perfect company to treat it.

I have been extremely impressed by Radovent and the service I received in working with Travis. A few years back, my home tested high for radon and I unfortunately picked the wrong company (a Radovent competitor) to install a radon mitigation system. Although the system achieved positive results initially, I periodically tested the radon levels and discovered that I was not getting the results that I needed to feel comfortable. I attempted to work with Radovent's competitor, but their solutions felt haphazard and over time I lost confidence in their ability to diagnose my home's situation and truly solve the radon issue. Upon a recommendation from a trusted friend and real estate agent, I called Travis with Radovent looking for a second opinion and help. Travis was extremely knowledgeable and professional from the second I talked with him. He came to my home, thoroughly inspected it, and proposed a couple of well thought out solutions. I can tell you that there is a difference between someone who is trying to sell you something and someone who is truly committed to solving your problem. Radovent is committed to quality work. They understand home construction and radon mitigation science. They do the small things well - they show up when they say they are going to show up, they don't hack up the exterior of your house - they treat it like it is their own home. In fact, as part of his service, Travis generously redid some of previous work done by the Radovent competitor to make it look better and more professional on the exterior of my house. I appreciate his effort to go the extra mile. After Radovent completed their mitigation work to fix my home, I tested the radon levels multiple times (with different charcoal test providers) to ensure that radon levels are comfortably low and that their fix works over time. It did. This issue is important enough that you should really work with and rely on the best. I am grateful for the work RadoVent did to fix my home and I'd recommend their service to anyone.

It's good to work with a company who stands behind their promise to deliver a quality system. Prior to their installation we had readings of ~20 pCi/L. I was skeptical that anybody would be able to get it to an acceptable level (and it took a few adjustments that radoVent came to do with no hesitation) but since their installation was finished I haven't had a 1-day or 7-day reading above 0.80 (per the Corentium Home Radon Detector). Very pleased with the service and would highly recommend!

Wonderful customer service and craftsmanship! Johnny was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining why the system worked the way it was designed custom for our home, was consultative with us throughout the build and was very friendly. We were averaging about 6.5 pci/l in our built out basement for the 2-months prior to the system going in. Within 1-day of getting our system installed and turned on, we have been averaging .5 pci/l now each day since. System is slient and we feel much safer with our son spleeping in the basement. Would recommend you use these guys for you Radon needs.

My company (Pillar To Post Home Inspectors) understands radon and has worked with several mitigation companies since we offer radon testing as part of our services. My office manager needed a system installed and researched almost every company in the valley. Based on the whole scheduling, pricing, and everything she experienced, she chose to go with RadoVent. After the installation we arranged to have Tim spend a couple hours talking to our inspectors about mitigation systems and how our team can better inspect them. Tim knows radon and had a ton of information, even for me having been around the testing for almost 12 years I learned a few things. I would definitely and will recommend them in the future. Thanks!

Thank you for being so professional and installing such a great looking system that will help make the home safer for years to come. Being on the exterior of the home, the buyers were a little concerned about how it would turn out. They are pleased with the final result. I appreciated the patience from the Installers (especially from Kevin) in handling the delays in getting access to the home on the day of installation and the follow-up with regards to questions and warranty information (from Allen) have been top notch! Job well done!

We had a radon system installed by someone referred to us by a neighbor. Unfortunately he did not install it properly and the system leaked in our newly finished basement only hours before we were hosting 50 family members for a thanksgiving feast. When we attempted to track him down to come repair the damages he was completely in the wind. That's when we called RadoVent. They were extremely professional. They are very knowledgeable and competitively priced. they were able to remove the old system and install a quality new one without causing additional damage to the finished part of our basement. It looks extremely better than the original system and I am confident in the installation. Take it from us, use a trusted professional to install your system. Use RadoVent!

I contacted Radovent a few months ago to get a bid for a radon system in my home. I finally got my basement ready to go and contacted them just a few weeks ago. We set the scheduled install date and they showed up at 9:00, just like they said they would. When their installer arrived he was very professional and accommodating of some of my specific requests about the install. He took his time to listen to me and try and see how I wanted it to be routed. When I left to go back to work I felt confident that Kevin would do exactly wanted I asked for. At about 6:00 he finished up and did a great job, as a business owner I would hire this guy in a second. Thanks again radovent, I'd recommend you to anyone.

They came in and gave a good recommendation for how to vent the radon out through the roof in our garage. The price was reasonable and their system has reduced our radon far below the EPA action level whereas before it was several times higher than the EPA action level. Their workmanship looks good and have had no problems with the system. It has been probably around 9 months since they installed it.

Although several real estate professionals in Park City, Utah recommended Radovent, I chose to get bids. Like most folks, I was trying to save money mitigating my Radon problem so I went with the lowest bid. Big Mistake.I ended up having my first Radon system removed due to improper placement of the vent pipe and extreme noise and vibration from the outside fan radiating through the wall to the master bedroom. When I discovered how bad it was, I called Radovent in a complete state of dismay.Within an hour, the owner Travis Jewell was at my doorstep evaluating the original install and figuring out the RIGHT place to vent my pipe up from the basement, through the foundation in and out of the garage. Although it was much more difficult and time consuming to vent it this way, we ended up with a neat, tidy, and mostly silent system from inside the house that can hardly be seen from the outside of the home. As well, my readings went from 8.7 to 0.5 within two days. The first company I used was very nice about removing the system and tried to repair the damage from their install. However, I was still left witha hole in my basement carpet, had to repair and paint the ceiling hole andredo their work on the outside stucco....not to mention the chaos and upset with the whole situation.I can't say enough positive about the work and the personnel at Radovent. If you have a problem like this, that is becoming more and more prevalent in Utah, I would highly recommend Radovent. If it's dollars to dollars, it's a no brainer. If there is a few hundred dollar differential, what is your time, money and state of mind worth?I found out the hard way.
